State Rep. Bob Thorpe (R-AZ): Today’s “Moron” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

State Rep. Bob Thorpe (R-AZ)

Today’s Moron Award Winner

In 2013, Bobby duped the voters in the greater Flagstaff area into electing him as a member of the Arizona State Legislature.

In mid-June 2017, Bobby the Moron accused college students of “diluting” election in the districts where they live and attend college. He is proposing a law that would prohibit students from using their college addresses to register to vote despite the fact that they live in their dormitory or off campus year-around.

The Moron told the Courthouse News:

  • “These students do not influence the elections within their home communities, where their families and neighbors live, but instead they dilute the votes of the local full-time residents within the college communities.”

Of course, it goes without saying that the Moron didn’t do well in any of his elections when it came to garnering votes from college students at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.

In order to prove that he’s a Certified Moron, Bobby’s proposed law would allow for temporary residents who live in the Flagstaff area to enjoy skiing could lawfully vote. Bobby’s exclusion for this group is based on the undeniable fact the vast majority of them are conservative and vote Republican.

To make voting fair, maybe a law should be passed in Arizona making it a felony for anyone to actually cast a vote for a candidate that is running as a Democrat. This would make it much easier and less costly for Morons like Bobby and those of his ilk to remain in office until they were carted off in a wooden box.

Congrats Bobby; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Morons”; you are far too humble.
