Attorney Allen VanCamp of Brea, CA; moronic liar

The state of California provided Allen Charles VanCamp with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Gonzaga University Law School.

The California State Bar found Al guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to perform legal services competently (moron)
• Failed inform a client of significant developments in one matter
• Failed to respond to discovery despite two lengthy extensions
• Failed to advise client about defense discovery
• Failed to inform client re: defense’s motions to compel and for sanctions
• Failed to advise client of subsequent default
• Failed to appear at motion to compel hearing
• Sanctioned $546 by court for failure to appear at hearing
• Lied to opposing counsel he’d comply with discovery requests
• Sanctioned an additional $627 for discovery violations
• Never paid court imposed sanctions
• Concealed sanctions from his law firm and client
• Court ultimately entered default judgment against Al’s client Albertsons in the amount of $175,000
• Al’s gross negligence, incompetency and failure to failure to act on the case effectively resulted in a dismissal of any claims or cross-actions Albertsons might have had

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Al by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the California State Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Al.
