Attorney Christopher Buttermore of Coral Springs, FL; lying cheater

The state of Florida presented Christopher Lee Buttermore with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Accepted $15,000 in fees but failed to provide any meaningful services to client
  • Abandoned client’s case
  • Made misrepresentations in sworn testimony (perjury) regarding legal services he provided to client and amount of money he was paid
  • Continued to accept money from client without doing any work on her case
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Chris!)

Because Attorney Misfits in Florida are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Chris was never criminally charged with fraud, grand larceny or perjury.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2017), Chris practices with Buttermore & Associates PA at 8202 Wiles Road in Coral Springs, Florida.
