Solicitor Garry Huggett of New South Wales; ethical gremlin

The Law Society of New South Wales presented Garry John Huggett with a law license in 2005.

The Legal Services Commissioner found Garry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct
  • Advised clients to sign statutory declaration in absence of authorized witness
  • Advised client he would witness signatures on return of documents despite fact he did not witness the signing of said documents
  • Failed to comply with Australia Oaths Act

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Legal Services Commission punished Garry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2017), Garry practices with Last & Maxwell at 12 Bombala Street in Cooma, New South Wales, Australia.
