Attorney Emmett Greenwood of Detroit; ethical leprechaun

The state of Michigan presented Emmett D. Greenwood with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Michigan State University Law School.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel found Emmett guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Filed a matter that was found to be frivolous
  • Knowingly disobeyed under rules of tribunal on at least three occasions
  • Engaged in discourteous conduct aimed at three or more judges
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Emmett!)
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct and/or knowingly assisted or induced another to do

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary 150-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2016), Emmett practices at 20133 McIntyre Street in Detroit, Michigan.
