Attorney Jerry Atkins of Houston; cheating loser

The state of Texas presented Jerry Keith Atkins with a law license in 1965 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

The 113th District Court of Harris County found Jerry guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place prior to her ascension to the bench in 2014.

  • Knowingly violated rules or assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another, whether or not such violation occurred in the course of a client-lawyer relationship
  • Charged or collected clearly excessive fee (cheater)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Jerry by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Grievance Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jerry.

As we speak (ca. December 2017), Jerry practices with the Law Offices of Jerry K. Atkins at 7500 San Felipe Street in Houston, Texas.
