Attorney Philip Torf of Northbrook, IL; ethical dwarf

The state of Illinois presented Philip Richard Torf with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the John Marshall Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in unauthorized communications with corporation without obtaining the prior consent of counsel for the corporation
• Engaged in conduct bring legal profession into disrepute (What’s new?)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
