Attorney Mario Utreras of Chicago; slacker

The state of Illinois presented Mario E. Utreras with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Mario guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Negligence led to clients’ discrimination lawsuit being dismissed
• Conduct brought legal profession into disrepute (So?)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Mario by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (March 2018), Mario practices with the Utreras Law Offices Inc. at 333 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
