Attorney Matthew Hum of Phoenix; serial check bouncer

The state of Arizona presented Matthew Jason Hum with a law license in 2011 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Matty guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Wrote check for $1,132 on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Wrote check for $6,750 on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Engaged in a pattern of posting incorrect entries in client ledgers
  • Wrote check for $300 (balance $0.00) on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Deposit records failed to disclose name of the client
  • Violated duties he owed to his clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Matty by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

Because Attorney Misfits in Arizona are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Matty was never prosecuted for writing bad checks.

As we speak (ca. March 2017), Matty practices with Cronus Law PLLC at 2601 East Thomas Road in Phoenix, Arizona.
