The New York Commisison on Judicial Conduct found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

• Dismissed defendants’ criminal charges w/o advising prosecutors
• Reduced charges filed v. criminal’s w/o telling prosecutors
• Illegally imposed conditions on a defendant’s release
• Improperly increased a defendant’s bail without any explanation
• Made arbitrary and punitive rulings
• Made improper comments about a defendant’s appearance
• Denigrated defendant for wearing a nose ring
• Failed to advise defendant of constitutional right to counsel
• Improperly asked incriminating questions of defendant a
• Imposed improper conditions for plea negotiations

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. May 2017), Mike continues to sit as the Hastings Town Justice Court Judge in Hastings, New York.
