Former State Sen. Ralph Shortey (OK); Today’s Public Official Misfit

In November 2010, Ralph succeeded in duping the voters in the greater Oklahoma City area into electing him as a member of the Oklahoma State Senate.

Shortey laughingly claims to be an upstanding Christian and Family Values type of feller. However, this sham claim was recently exposed as a total lie when he was arrested.

The arrest warrant of the incident at a local motel states in part:

• “Officers present observed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the room and inside the room at the time of their contact with the defendant.”

The warrant went on to say that police found an opened box of condom’s in Shortey’s backpack. Rumor has it that Shorty’s condoms were special ordered petite condoms.

The person found in Shorty’s motel room was a 17-year-old male prostitute. Goshes and Gollies, I bet this fact didn’t sit to well with Shorty’s wife and four daughters.

Knowing that he would never be re-elected in the future, Shorty announced his resignation of his Senate office on the same day he was arrested and booked into the local jail.

All that remains now is to see how long it takes for Shorty to cop a plea. Hopefully, the sentencing judge will treat Shorty with the disrespect he so richly deserves.
