Attorney Edwin Vardiman Jr. of Cincinnati; serial scofflaw
The state of Ohio presented Edwin L. Vardiman Jr. with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of Northern Kentucky Law School.
The Warren County and Cincinnati Bar Associations found Eddie guilty of the following misconduct.
In the Warren County matter, Eddie represented a father seeking to reduce his child support payments. Several documents requiring the mother’s signature were rejected by the court after she signed them without being represented by counsel. (CincinnatiEnquirer)
Shortly thereafter, Eddie filed new documents with the court; however, the court discovered that Eddie signed by mother’s name without her authority.
In the Cincinnati matter, Eddie was accused of signing his own name and the name of another person without permission as the witnesses on a client’s will.
As a consequence of his misconduct, in a 4-3 vote, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.
Because Attorney Misfits in Ohio are held to a lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Eddie was never criminally charged with forgery or obstruction of justice.
As we speak (ca. March 2017) Eddie practices with Godbey Law at 708 Walnut Street in Cincinnati, Ohio. |
