Attorney John Thyden of Chevy Chase, MD; ethical leprechaun

The state of District of Columbia provided John W. Thyden with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from Georgetown University Law School.

The D.C. Court of Appeals found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to advise client of potential settlement offer
  • Filed inappropriate pleadings that delayed bankruptcy proceeding
  • Prejudiced the client by subjecting him to sanctions
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Induced or assisted another to violate the rules of professional conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the D.C. Court of Appeals punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2017), Johnny practices with Thyden Gross and Callahan LLP at 4601 Willard Avenue in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
