Attorney Caryl Gabe of Hoffman Estates, IL; cheating slacker

The state of Illinois presented Caryl Jacobs Gabe with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Caryl guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep clients informed of status of their legal matters
• Engaged in conduct tending to defeat the administration of justice
• Failed to comply with client information request
• Failed to promptly refund unearned fee (cheater)
• Failed to provide client with accounting of claimed fees
• Failed to file required motion to withdraw representation of client

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Caryl by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.  

As we speak (March 2017), Caryl practices with the Law Offices of Caryl Jacobs Gabe at 230 North Barrington Road in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
