Attorney William Hamel of New York City; convicted criminal

The state of New York presented William Raymond Hamel with a law license in 1991after he graduated from the Brooklyn Law School.

The Departmental Disciplinary Committee found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Billy respondent was convicted, upon his plea of guilty, to the reduced charge of criminal facilitation in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor, and was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge, a $300,000 settlement in lieu of a fine, forfeiture or restitution, 150 hours of community service, and mandatory surcharges.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Departmental Disciplinary Committee punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Billy practices with Subin Associates LLP at 150 Broadway in New York, New York.
