The state of New York presented Wayne Scott Cook Jr. with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the New York Law School.

The Departmental Disciplinary Committee found Wayne guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client property
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Fabricated documents to falsely claim he had commenced client lawsuit
• Made repeated misrepresentations (lied) to clients and firm members
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Departmental Disciplinary Committee punished Wayne by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.
