Attorney James Thomas of Anamosa, IA; repeat offender

 

The state of Idaho presented James G. Thomas with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from Drake University Law School.

 

The Disciplinary Board found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Jimmy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

          

  • Failed to appear at dissolution hearing on client’s behalf
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

 

Jimmy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to send contemporaneous notices of trust account withdrawals to clients
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

 

As we speak (ca. February 2017) Jimmy practices at 102 North Ford Street in Anamosa, Iowa.
