Attorney Michael Samuel of New York City; convicted criminal

The state of New York presented Michael Steven Samuel with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from the Touro Law School.

The Departmental Disciplinary Committee found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Wrote $20,000 check to client relative despite being aware of court ordered forfeiture order
  • Continued to reinvest client profits in Sterling Collection Company by purchasing more debt portfolios
  • Plead guilty to second degree criminal contempt for violating forfeiture order

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Departmental Disciplinary Committee punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Mike practices with Samuel and Stein at 38 West 32nd Street in New York, New York.
