Attorney Donna Johnston of Seattle; idiot, repeat offender

The state of Washington presented Catherine L. Fawley with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from Rutgers University Law School.

The Washington State Bar found Donna guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in making negligent misrepresentations (falsehoods)
• Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client reasonably informed of status of matter
• Failed to file notice of appearance or answer on client’s behalf

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Donna by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

Donna’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to keep client reasonably informed of status of matter
• Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Failed to adequately communicate with client

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Donna by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
