Attorney Mark Passannante of Portland, OR; ethical gremlin

The state of Washington presented Mark G. Passannante with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College.

The Washington State Bar found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected client matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to protect client interests upon termination
  • Failed to refund unearned fees (thief)
  • Failed to provide client with account of claimed fees
  • Failed to provide client with copy of client file upon termination
  • Failed to maintain complete records of client funds
  • Failed to take foreseeable steps to not prejudice rights of client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2017), Mark practices at 1001 SW 5th Avenue in Portland, Oregon.
