Attorney Joseph Pecko of Burr Ridge, IL; slacker

The state of Illinois presented Joseph Edward Pecko with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from Loyola University Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Joey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
• Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to permit client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Joey.

As we speak (May 2017), Joey practices with the Law Offices of Joseph E. Pecko at 7 Southgate Court in Burr Ridge, Illinois.
