Attorney J. Kirby Riffel of Pocahontas, AR; idiot, perjurer, repeater

The state of Arkansas presented J. Kirby Riffel with a law license in 1971 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Kirby guilty of the following misconduct.

Prior to the following misconduct, Kirby received one (1) complimentary for engaging in a variety of misconduct. 

Kirby’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Made false statement of fact to in Lawrence County District Court affidavit (perjury)
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Kirby by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Because Attorney Misfits in Arkansas are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Kirby was never criminally prosecuted for perjury.
