Attorney Stephen Lewis of Calico Rock, AR; Dumbo, repeater

 

The state of Arkansas presented Stephen Lee Lewis with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

 

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Stevie’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Used means having no substantial purpose other than to embarrass, delay, or burden a third person, or
  • used methods of obtaining evidence that violate the legal rights of such a person
  • Altered final divorce decree court order
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

 

Stevie’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  • Failed to abide by client decisions re: representation
  • Failed to consult with client as to the means to achieve client objectives
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Stevie!)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (February 2017), Stevie practices in Calico Rock, Arkansas.
