Attorney Jeffrey Alan Smith of Trenton, TN; ethical misfit

The state of Tennessee provided Jeffrey Alan Smith with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Memphis Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Negligence led illegal practice of law by staff

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. January 2017) Jeff practices at 110 NW Court Square in Trenton, Tennessee.
