Attorney Aubrey Davis of Knoxville, TN; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Tennessee provided Aubrey Lewis Davis with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Aubrey guilty of the following misconduct.

Aubrey’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to file appellate brief within an extension of time granted by the Court of Criminal Appeals
• Grossly negligent in the performance of his duties to his client
• Willful contempt of Court of Criminal Appeals
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Aubrey!)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Found in contempt for his failure to file appellate brief despite being granted extensions

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Aubrey by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

Aubrey’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to so act
• Failed to expedite client litigation
• Failed to act with candor in dealings with tribunal

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Aubrey by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
