Judge Dawn Haviland of Goodsprings, NV; repeat offender

The state of Maryland presented Claudia A. Barber with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Maryland Law School.

It should be noted that this is Dawn’s second (2nd) bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree. An article dealing with her prior misconduct can be found by visiting the URL listed at the end of this article.

The Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline has charged Dawn with engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Poses substantial threat of serious harm to the public
  • Numerous instances of judicial misconduct
  • Poses substantial threat of serious harm to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Dawn by ordering she be suspended from the bench with pay.

In truth, Dawn is receiving a fully paid vacation at taxpayer expense that could last more than a year. In 2015, Dawn received nearly $103,000 in total pay and benefits. Who said being a Judicial Misfit didn’t pay well?

All that remains is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Dawn the Repeater by the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. September 2016), Dawn remains on paid vacation in Goodsprings, Nevada.
