Attorney Melvyn Romanoff of Chicago; ethical misfit

The state of Illinois presented Melvyn Lee Romanoff with a law license in 1969 after he graduated from DePaul University Law School.

The Disciplinary Commission found Melvyn guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Improperly compensated a person for recommending his services
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Melvyn by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (November 2016), Melvyn practices with Goldstein Bender & Romanoff at 1 North La Salle Street in Chicago, Illinois.
