Tucker Carlson: Today’s Rodney Dangerfield Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Tucker Carlson of Fox News
Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

Recently, Tucker (“The Tuck”) Swanson McNear Carlson thought it was time for him to hitch a ride on the Gov. Scott Walker (Wisconsin Governor) Comedy Train in going after public sector workers in Wisconsin.

While doing his comedy routine on Fox News, The Tuck said, “They [Wisconsin public employees] make more than you do, right, these public sector employees can never be fired, their benefits are things you can’t even imagine, and by the way, they won’t even consider taking any kind of cut in the face of the worst recession in our lifetimes and they expect you [Wisconsin taxpayers] to pay for it.”

As part of his comedy skit on Fox, The Tuck intentionally failed to mention that Wisconsin state workers did in fact concede to pay cuts and increased pension contributions that were demanded by his fellow comedian Gov. Scott “The Dufus” Walker.

The Tuck made his initial appearance as a standup comedian on the Daily Show hosted by John Stewart in July 2004. In a lame attempt at levity, the Tuck accused Stewart of “sniffing John Kerry’s throne” and not asking tough questions during an interview. Stewart replied, “I didn’t realize […] the news organizations look to Comedy Central for their cues on integrity.”

The Tuck told Steward, “I think you’re more fun on your show.” Stewart replied by saying: “you know what’s interesting though? You’re as big a dick on your show as you are on any show.” Praise the Lord, the truth will set you free!

Congrats Tuck; keep up the good work! We should let your listeners all 17 of them know of your amazing record; you are far too modest.
