Attorney Alvin Johnson Jr. of New Orleans; ethical goblin

The state of Louisiana provided Alvin Anthony Johnson Jr. with a law license in 2006.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Alvin guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Willfully failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Alvin!)
  • Negligently commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Negligently converted client funds to personal use
  • Failed to advise client of receipt of additional client funds
  • Failed to take steps to protect client interests
  • Failed to surrender client papers to client upon termination
  • Misrepresented (lied) regarding total amount of funds sent to client
  • Violated duty owed to client
  • Failed to make complete restitution to client
  • Client significantly harmed by misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Alvin by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Vickie.

As we speak (ca. November 2015) Alvin practices with Alvin Johnson & Associates at 330 Carondelet Street in New Orleans, Louisiana.
