Attorney Sherry Morris of Benson, NC; lying loser

The state of North Carolina presented Sherry M. Morris with a law license in 1984 after she graduated from North Carolina Central University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Sherry guilty of the following misconduct.

• Significantly harmed Board of Bar Examiners
• Misconduct involved selfish or dishonest motive
• Provided false testimony (perjury) to Bar Examiners
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Knowingly made a false statement of material fact

As a direct consequence of her misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Sherry by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Disciplinary Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Sherry.

Because Attorney Misfits in North Carolina are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Sherry was never prosecuted for perjury.
