Attorney Spero Keretes of Columbia, SC; ethical gremlin

The State of South Carolina presented Spero C. Keretes with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Spero guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to comply with recordkeeping requirements
• Failed to maintain adequate client ledgers
• Failed to perform required trust account reconciliations
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct or any other rules regarding professional misconduct of attorneys

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Spero by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2016) Spero practices with The Keretses Law Firm at 5000 Thurmond Mall in Columbia, South Carolina.
