Attorney Eric Laquiere of Charleston, SC; woman beater

The State of South Carolina presented Eric B. Laquiere with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Eric guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Eric and his former girlfriend engaged in a verbal argument that eventually escalated into a physical altercation.  Eric admitted he struck his ex-girlfriend with his hand one time, causing injuries to her face.

On the same day, Eric was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.  Respondent pled guilty to criminal domestic violence, first offense, and paid the fine plus court costs.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Eric by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2016), Eric practices with The Laquiere Law Firm LLC in Charleston, South Carolina.
