Attorney James McBratney Jr. of Florence, SC; cheating loser

The State of South Carolina presented James T. McBratney Jr. with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Charged an unreasonable fee (cheater)
  • Failed to protect client’s interests upon termination
  • Failed to surrender client file to file after being terminated
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Willfully failed to comply with final decision of Fee Dispute Board

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2016), Jimmy practices with the McBratney Law Firm PA in Florence, South Carolina.
