Attorney Gerald Walton of Independence, OH; ethical dwarf

The state of Ohio presented Gerald Robert Walton with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Cleveland State University Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Gerry guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Gerry!)
• Allowed client trust account to become overdrawn
• Failed to comply with subpoena to appear for a deposition

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme punished Gerry by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Gerry.
