Attorney Thomas Gish Sr. of Everett, WA; convicted tax cheat

The state of Washington presented Thomas A. Gish Sr. with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from Willamette University Law School.

The Washington State Bar found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Tommy pled guilty to under-reporting his taxable income for one year by approximately $134,450. Subsequently, he was sentenced to three years of probation and 60 days of electronic monitoring.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Washington Supreme Court ordered that Tommy be disbarred. However, the comedians on the Court later reinstated Tommy’s law license. Apparently, they believed that Tommy had a constitutional right to earn a dishonest living practicing law.

As we speak (ca. October 2016), Tommy practices in Everett, Washington.
