Attorney Reginald Richardson of Miami; scofflaw, ethical leper-con

In a previous life, attorney Reginald Richardson was unfortunately a sitting Judge in Miami-Dade County.

After being arrested for attempting to buy sex from a female Miami police officer posing as a prostitute, Reggie was charged as a Judicial Misfit by the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission (JQC).

The Commission charged Reggie and found him guilty of violating state law and for attempting to influence the police after his arrest by acting as follows:
  1. Identified himself as a County Court Judge
  2. Requested permission to speak directly to the Chief of Police, stating he could “explain everything”
  3. Stated he was “pro prostitution” – I’m sorry I mean “pro police”
  4. Said that the President of the Dade County Police Benevolent Association had run his campaign for judge
In an inept attempt at levity, the Commission ruled that Reggie’s behavior “constitutes conduct unbecoming a member of the judiciary.” This hyperbolic (BS) comment doesn’t pass the involuntary laugh test!

The enablers at the Judicial Commission then punished Reggie by gifting him with a complimentary public reprimand.

As we speak (ca. Feb 2011) this loser practices law at 333 NE 86th Street in El Portal, Florida, which is a suburb of Miami.
