DA Juan Martinez of Phoenix; ethical leprechaun

The state of Arizona provided Juan Martinez with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Arizona State University Law School.

Juan has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past twenty-eight years (1988 to 2016). Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Phoenix area was about to offer Jay a good paying job.

The Arizona State Bar found Juan guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place during the time he was prosecuting Jodi Arias for murder. Maricopa County Attorney

  • Engaged in unprofessional behavior over the course of 11 or more murder cases he tried including the Jodi Arias murder trials
  • Used means having no substantial purpose other than to embarrass or burden another person
  • Used methods of obtaining evidence that violated the legal rights of various parties
  • Improperly attacked the defendant
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Juan by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. October 2016), Juan continues to work in the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in Phoenix, Arizona.
