Attorney John Goodson of Texarkana, AR; greedy scammer

The state of Arkansas presented John Clinton Goodson with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Kentucky Law School.

In one matter, U.S. Judge P.K. Holmes III of Little Rock, found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

Johnny and a number of other unethical attorneys colluded in forum shopping (shopping for specific court or judge to hear their cases) when they abruptly transferred a class action lawsuit out of Judge Holmes’ federal court to a state court where it was immediately settled.

The result of the expeditious settlement with an auto insurance company was a hefty fee for Johnny and his fellow louses; however, the settlement has been duly criticized as unlikely to produce much of anything for the parties that were actually damaged by the insurance company’s actions.

Judge Holmes ruled that Johnny and his partner Matt Keil, and three other attorneys “abused the judicial process, and did so in bath faith.”

Judge Holmes then reprimanded Johnny; however, he noted that potential sanctions included requirements that Johnny file notices about his conduct if he were involved in future class-action cases, a black mark which could be damaging to his ability to continue class action practice (actually classless action cases).

As we speak (ca. September 2016) Johnny practices at 406 Walnut Street in Texarkana, Arkansas.
