Judge Jerry Ault of Mansfield, Oh; convicted druggie

The State of Ohio presented Jerry Edwin Ault with a law license in 1978 after she graduated from the University of Toledo Law School.

It should be noted that Jerry has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past thirty-seven years (1979-2016). Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Mansfield, Ohio area was about to offer Jerry a good paying job.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Jerry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Convicted of obtaining dangerous drug by deception
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Failed to uphold integrity of judiciary
  • Failed to comply with the law
  • Failed to avoid impropriety

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme punished Jerry by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jerry the Druggie.

As we speak (ca. September 2016) Jerry continues to sit as a Mansfield Municipal Court judge in Mansfield, Ohio.
