Attorney Paul Held of Sumter, SC; serial slacker

The State of South Carolina presented Paul L. Held with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Paulie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Paulie!)
• Failed to comply with local court rules
• Failed to file adequate Chapter 13 bankruptcy plans
• Failed to file lien avoidance motions
• Failed to adequately disclose payments received form client pre/post-bankruptcy filing
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Paulie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 

As we speak (ca. September 2016) Paulie practices with the Law Office of Paul L. Held at 138 North Main Street in Sumter, South Carolina.
