Attorney Nicholas Athanason of St. Petersburg, FL; ethical misfit

The state of Florida provided Nicholas M. Athanason with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Stetson University Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Nicky guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly supervise trust accounting practices
• Disbursed about $1,000 on seven separate occasions that belonged to his client and third parties who could not be located by his firm

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Brett by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
