Attorney Rhonda Crawford of Markham, IL; ethical dwarf

The state of Ohio presented Rhonda Crawford with a law license in 2003.

Rhonda’s misconduct took place while she was employed as a Cook County law clerk and while she was running unopposed for a judgeship.

During her attempt to secure a judgeship, Rhonda donned a judicial robe and ascended to the bench in a Chicago courtroom and then went about presiding over some minor traffic cases.

It was alleged that former Judge Valeria E. Turner who was previously removed from the bench allowed Rhonda to preside over at least two traffic cases.

As a result of her conduct in donning a robe and taking the bench, Chief Cook County Judge Timothy Evans’ office said that Rhonda was no longer employed by the Cook County Circuit Court.

Cook County prosecutors are apparently investigating to determine if Rhonda committed any crimes by her false portrayal as a real judge.
