Attorney Joel Ward of Los Angeles; thief, repeat offender

The state of California presented Joel M. Ward with a law license in 1971 after he graduated from Chicago-Kent University Law School.

The California State Bar Court found Joel guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Misused client trust account
  • Failed to properly maintain his client funds
  • Misappropriated (stole) $3,00 of client money
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest involving several clients

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Joel by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth the comedians sitting on the State Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Joel.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Joel’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He was previously disciplined on two separate occasions for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As we speak (ca. August 2016), Joel practices with the Law Offices of Joel M. Ward at 1740 West Temple Street in Los Angeles, California.
