Attorney Neil Roberts of Brookline, MA; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Massachusetts presented Neil E. Roberts with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Boston University Law School.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Neil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Neil!)
  • Took no action to prosecute client’s appeal
  • Never sought permission to withdraw from Court of Appeal
  • Intentionally misled (lied) to client
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to carry out client’s lawful directives

As one would suspect, this isn’t Neil’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Neil by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2016) Neil practices with the Law Office of Neil E. Roberts at 1318 Beacon Street in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Warning: Neil does not carry legal malpractice insurance
