Attorney Melvin Smith of St. Louis, MO; ethical misfit

The state of Missouri presented Melvin James Smith with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Missouri Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Melvin guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Melvin found it acceptable to not pay taxes he was required to pay.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on Disciplinary Counsel punished Melvin by gifting him with a complimentary suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2016), Melvin practices at 9 Colonial Hills Parkway in St. Louis, Missouri.
