Attorney John Pisaturo of Monroe County, NY; certified Dumbo From 1984 through at least 2006, John Pisaturo was a justice of the Gates Town Court in Monroe County, New York, which is in the Rochester area.
Over the course of five (5) years, John the Dumbo assessed fines against litigants appearing before him that were in excess of the amounts authorized by the New York Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Johnny imposed these excessive and illegal fines on at least nine-hundred-thirty (930) occasions. The total of the illegal fines imposed by Johnny was at least $277,000.
The comedians sitting Judicial Commission stated that “As an attorney and as a judge since 1984, respondent [Judge Pisaturo] should be familiar with basic principles of law.” Yeah, and Jeffrey Dahmer should have been familiar with basic table manners!
As punishment for his misconduct, the enablers on the Judicial Commission provided Johnny with a complimentary censure.
