Attorney Peter Gordon of Forest Hills, NY; lying loser

The state of New York presented Peter S. Gordon with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the New York Law School.

The Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

• Exhibited a lack of candor
• Defaulted in a number of client appeals
• Failed to comply with court order
• Failed in 17 cases to file scheduling notification letters
• Failed in 11 cases to comply with court imposed deadlines
• Explanations for failure to comply with court order were “inconsistent, disingenuous, and lacking in credibility”
• Knowingly made a false statement of fact to a tribunal

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel punished Pete by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
