Attorney Thomas Gooch III of Wauconda, IL; moronic slacker

The state of Illinois presented Thomas William Gooch III with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from John Marshall Law School.

FYI: John Marshall is ranked as the 166th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to complete a dissolution of matter for client Terrianne Rushton
• Allowed Terrianne’s case to be dismissed for want of prosecution
• Failed to inform Ms. Rushton of the dismissal of her case
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to complete client Creative Marketing Concepts (CMC) regarding a collection matter
• Failed to communicate with CMC for eight months
• Failed to promptly act on behalf of Dyan Bartolai to obtain an order allowing her to remove her children from Illinois
• Neglected Ms. Bartolai’s dissolution of marriage matter
• Failed to respond to Ms. Bartolai’s multiple requests for information regarding the status of her case
• Neglected multiple client legal matters
• Failed to deposit client funds in identifiable trust account
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. October 2022), Tommy practices his so-called brand of law with the Gooch Firm at 209 South Main Street in Wauconda, Illinois.
