This isn’t the first Award presented to Sandy. In the past, he has been the recipient of twenty-six (26) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

Sandy is the director of governmental affairs for the right-wing and bigoted American Family Association. In this instance, Sandy decided to once again attack the Khan family in regards to the death of their son Army Captain Humayun Khan in Iraq in 2004.

During a recent (early August 2016) episode of her daily comedy radio show, Sandy was joined by fellow bigot Clare Lopez of the right-wing Center for Security Policy in questioning Mr. Kahn’s motives for speaking at the Democratic Nat’l Convention in Philadelphia.

During the interview, Lopez expressed support for the view of ISIS that attacked Captain Khan as an apostate (one who renounces a religious belief or principle) when he died protecting his fellow soldiers from a suicide bomber. Towards that end, Lopez said:

• “As devout, faithful Muslims, [the Khans] know perfectly well what the commandments of their faith are.” Lopez said.
• “Now, they may not be obedient to those commandments, and that’s their right as long as they live in a free country like America, but the commandments of the faith are still there, and a Muslim like their son who died fighting against other Muslims has died an apostate, and they know that, and they yet chose to highlight that infidelity of their son before an international audience of millions.”

Stating that Captain Khan was guilty of “infidelity” (disloyalty) to the Muslim faith for sacrificing his life to save his fellow soldiers is a disgusting statement. She went on to falsely claim that Mr. Khan’s attack against The Don was based on his desire to see more un-vetted Muslims entering the country.

Sandy responded to Lopez’s hateful comments by saying:

• “The question to me is then, does that mean there’s some redemption in them cooperating with the, really it’s the Muslim Brotherhood line that Islam is so peaceful and that there’s no violence in it, I mean, do you see any link at all?” Rios asked.
• “I mean, is the cooperation with this whole deception a part of their penance? Is that possible?”

Lopez responded by saying:

• “Well, I wouldn’t call it penance, I would call it collaboration.”

So now we have these two disgusting A-Holes actually defaming Mr. Khan by falsely claiming that he is involved in conspiring with the Muslim Brotherhood.

It goes without saying that neither Sandy or Lopez believes any of the comments they made as aforementioned. The sole purpose of engaging in blatant bigotry is to further their financial interests. Put simply, they absolutely know that they must play to the bigots that tune in to listen to them if they want to continue to live in the lap of luxury.

Congrats Sandy; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Bigots”; you are far too humble.
