Judge-elect Stephen Callaghan of Summersville, WV; lying loser

The state of West Virginia presented Stephen with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.

The West Virginia Judicial Investigation Commission has charged Stevie with engaging in the following misconduct.

In his zeal to dupe the voters in Nicholas County into electing him as a County Circuit judge, Stevie decided to play fast and loose with the Judicial Code of Conduct. As a candidate for judicial office, Stevie well knew that he was required to comply with the Code of Judicial Conduct.

Stevie found it acceptable to create a flier and/or caused it to be distributed that showed his opponent Judge Gary Johnson partying with President Barack Obama. The Judicial Commission found that Stevie’s two-page political flier:

“Was intended to deceive voters into believing that Judge Johnson and U.S. President Barack Obama were drinking beer and partying at the White House while conniving with one another to kill coal mining jobs in Nicholas County.”

Of course Stevie well knew that involving President Obama’s name would likely cause him to do well with the bigot vote in Nicholas County. And by falsely insinuating that judge Johnson fully supported the killing of coal miner jobs, Stevie knew that would also paly very well in coal mining country.

Since Stevie was by a paltry 220 votes over Judge Johnson, it is safe to assume that the false political literuate he passed out bore the fruit he desired. The mere fact that this loser cheerfully lied and fabricated false facts about his opponent should forever disqualify him from sitting on the bench in West Virginia or elsewhere.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out by the members of the Judicial Commission. If justice means anything, they should order that his license be suspended for at least a year, which would mean he prohibited from ascending to the bench on January 2, 2017.

As we speak (ca. August 2016), Stevie the Fabricator practices with Callaghan & Callaghan PLLC at 600 Main Street in Summersville, West Virginia.
